Using AI to turn an audio transcript into a blog post
In this lesson I discussed using AI to summarize a transcript and turn it into a blog post, podcast show notes, or a lesson for a course. I started by copying and pasting the transcript into OpenAI's language model, ChatGPT, and used prompts to create an outline, rewrite the transcript into a blog post, and generate quotes for social media. Note: AI is not perfect and may make errors or focus on minor points in the transcript.
Prompts for AI Powered Blog Posts and Courses
- Write a comprehensive guide on [topic], covering the basics and advanced tips for [target audience].
- Create a list post with [number] tips, tricks, or strategies for [topic].
- Write a how-to post, explaining step-by-step instructions for [process or task].
- Develop a review of a [product, service, or tool], detailing the pros, cons, and overall recommendations.
- Write an opinion post on [topic], sharing your perspective and arguments.
- Create a case study, analyzing a real-life example of [topic] and its impact.
- Write a post about a recent event, conference, or industry development, highlighting the key takeaways and insights.
- Develop a post that explores the benefits of [topic], using data and examples to support your claims.
- Write a post that debunks common myths or misconceptions about [topic].
- Create a post that showcases [number] inspiring examples of [topic], demonstrating its potential and impact.
- Act as (a content manager for a blog) and create an outline for (your topic) that includes an introduction, four main points and a conclusion.
- For each of the main points write 3 sub points
- Write 500 words for the introduction, the main, points and the conclusion
- Give me a point of view on each of the main points and give me a quote or statistic that supports the point of view with a citation
- What were the sources of the statistics or quotes
- What is a good prompt to help me search for an image for each of the main points
- Example to try:
- Act as a teacher teaching 6th grade students on creating a business and write an outline with an introduction, 3 main points, and a conclusion in the tone of Bill gates
