Using AI to make show notes from long transcripts and YouTube videos
I show a workaround for using transcripts with OpenAI's language model, ChatGPT. I have a 40 minute transcript and am having difficulty pasting it into ChatGPT because the text is too long. To get around this, I paste the transcript into a YouTube video as subtitles and then use a Chrome extension to generate a summary. I can then manipulate the transcript and ask ChatGPT to extract key points, quotes, and format the transcript into a blog post or an outline. I may have to repeat the process if ChatGPT doesn't recognize the transcript the first time.
