How to Create Content Faster with AI Tools
Dec 14, 2022AI is here. In the last week it has shown up in Canva, Descript, and the big one ChatGPT. The ability to use this tool will fundamentally change how content is created. Its not a matter of if we will use it, but when and how much we will use it. The adoption of AI is like a wildfire and how many big companies are using it now is shocking.
Writing Prompts are only the beginning for creating content. This week I used AI to help me make a course on lighting and a course on best practices for capturing great audio. I used it to help me write an email. I used it to give me some prompts for writing this very blog. I used it to summarize a 45 minute transcription into a 1000 word blog post. I used it to write an excel formula for me. I used it to write some HTML code for me. And my favorite use of AI, I also used it to make a laser kitten.
Warning
AI is new (at least new to me) and there are some reports going out saying "Don't use AI because Google can detect it and it will hurt you SEO score." I have read conflicting reports, some saying yes, it will impact your score, and others saying if it uses natural language you are safe. SO until there is more data, I suggest a moderated approach to using AI. Combine the AI prompts with your own stories and experience. It is not the same as asking a question and getting a 1000 word blog post, but it will mitigate the risks of your site being penalized form using AI.
Here are some tips for writing prompts to get the best results from AI:
- Be specific: The more specific your prompt is, the more focused and relevant the AI's response will be. Instead of asking a general question, try to provide a clear and concise prompt that specifies exactly what you want the AI to write about.
- Be concise: Long and complex prompts can be difficult for the AI to understand and may result in less relevant responses. Try to keep your prompts concise and to the point, so that the AI can easily process them and provide a clear and concise response.
- Provide context: The AI can only provide a response based on the information you give it. If you want the AI to write about a specific topic or in a specific style, make sure to provide that context in your prompt.
- Be creative: The AI is only as creative as the prompts you give it, so try to come up with creative and interesting prompts that will inspire the AI to generate unique and engaging content.
